The organization is an international insurance provider, who operate in over fifty countries and across all the main insurance lines. Due to dynamic growth in their Life business they are keen to appoint a new Insurance Client Manager to manage a dedicated portfolio of clients and dictate new business growth in a dedicated sector. This role will be based from their main European hub in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Insurance Client Manager is charged with the development of an independent distribution channel
which includes both resellers, partners and corporate clients. Many of the partners in this channel will be banks, family offices, offshore fiduciary providers, asset management consultants and legal advisory companies. The company believes professional provision of life cover for investors, clients, key staff and stakeholders should be an essential part of any comprehensive financial advice. The majority of the firms policy holders are therefore wealthy individual in their own right being largely high net worth or ultra high-net worth private investors, company directors or well paid essential staff.
The product range offered is diverse, and includes the full range of life insurance products covering term life insurance, variable, permanent life insurance, adjustable (flexible premium life insurance) and dual life insurance
which is often offered with the firms other estate planning services and products. The company also markets a range of accumulation option solutions for its clients should they require them. The firm has a dedicated investment practice which can also be offered as an add on service to customers to ensure they make the optimal use of dividends and accumulations, should they wish.
For their corporate clients the firm has a dedicated COLI (Company Owned Life Insurance)
team with whom the Insurance Client Manager can expect to work with on a daily basis servicing their complex requirements. This service offers the full consultation in selecting the right policy mix for the customers staff right through to assistance in distributing the benefits in an efficient manner which meets all tax and legal requirements of the country where the company operates / is head quartered.
By offering a large range of off-the-shelf and tailored life insurance products it should be fairly straight forward to goto market and identify new clients & partners to offer these insurance solutions to. You can also expect to be targeted on customer retention so ensuring all your client portfolio receive a high quality service all the time will be key.
There is of course a profitability target and an overall revenue growth year on year target.
To achieve this you will have the full support of senior management and direct access to both the head of the life channel and group sales director, who you can expect to meet with on regular basis. There will also be provided all access to relevant support specialists including analysts, underwriting teams, actuaries, marketing teams, partner training staff and other sales staff. The firm offers an innovative way of rewarding its staff for identifying cross selling opportunities and new leads, as well as extensive brand advertising and tailored specifically targeted marketing campaigns; so you can expect to have a a great deal of “warm” leads to follow up on. Lastly the Insurance Client Manager will also be asked for their input into new product development and industry sector targeting.
For serious consideration for the Insurance Client Manager vacancy you will need to have / be:
- University educated
- With at the very least three years of solid sales experience in the financial sector, preferably in life insurance.
- You will be comfortable in building a channel of profitable partners and be able to highlight prior success in creating a distribution network among third parties and also selling directly to large corporates.
- You will be fluent in English and French.
- Finally you will have a very good knowledge of estate planning and succession.
