The Global RM Coordinator is a fascinating and challenging offshore role for an emerging international investment bank.
The cornerstone of the banks growth has been its private exchange that works very similar to a clearing network for both other financial institutions (private banks, Family Offices, Trusts & Foundations and other asset managers) and Ultra High Net Worth investors. To manage the multitude of extremely high value relationships this Exchange has created the bank has a worldwide Relationship Manager (RM) team.
The RM team is based on every continent as the bank believes having face to face resources local to the investors, who understand the local culture is an asset in itself. Of course this raises significant logistical challenges. The newly created position of Global RM Coordinator is designed to provide solution to these main challenges the RM's face.
The main area will be concerning travel arrangements
- the bank wants to streamline, centralize and make more efficient the travel arrangements for its RMs. Significant amounts are being spent of flights, hotel bookings and further travel expenses. With in this area the successful applicant to this position will have the following responsibilities:
The Global RM Coordinator will act as a central point of contact and make all travel arrangements on behalf of the RMs in the field.
They will build relationships with key travel suppliers on a global basis and own those relationships.
They will seek to arrange favorable rates and advance purchasing of travel services by bringing all the arrangements under “one roof”.
They will hire a team of RM Administrators to be put in place across the time zones to ensure the Relationship Management team always has access to travel support in any country. This team will report directly to the Global RM Coordinator.
The Global RM Coordinator will work with the banks preferred supplier of Security and Close Protection solutions when the RM is going to a dangerous country as specified by the US State Department and / or British Foreign Office.
Act as the first point of call for any RMs needing support in the field relating to travel, expenses and accommodation.
The Global RM Coordinator position requires a skilled organizer and experienced administrator. This role also needs a quick thinking and talented communicator, able to work with individuals from diverse cultures and ensure time hungry executives have all they require with regards travel arrangements to succeed.
This position also needs a skilled relationship builder and someone who can ensure the bank gets most “bang for its buck” regarding all travel and accommodation supplier agreements.
Finally the Global RM Coordinator must be able to recruit a team of like minded, service oriented individuals to work in close concert with the RMs.
There fore to be considered for this role you should have at least three years experience working as a team administrator or secretary for a busy global team who frequently travel
. Whilst it would be useful, it is not essential that this team worked in fiancé or banking. What is more important is that you are able to deliver a quality travel solution on time, on budget to anywhere in the world to the RMs.
The bank sees the Global RM Coordinator as a very critical to the success of its future growth which is tied up in the success of the RM team. As such they are only interested in appointing the right individual and will there fore ensure that person receives a significant uplift in personal earnings.
The Global RM Coordinator vacancy requires that the successful applicant be based offshore in either a European offshore jurisdiction (Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Malta, Cyprus, Monaco or Andorra) or a Caribbean one (Cayman, BVI, Dominica etc).
