This Luxembourg based private bank and expert in the cross border trading of global instruments is looking to hire a Global Instruments Compliance Officer to work from its Luxembourg head quarters.
The Global Instruments Compliance Officer works helping to facilitate the trades
and other transactions that are conducted upon the banks own private clearing network, which they operate as a virtual trading Exchange for other financial institutions (members include enterprise financial institutions, pension fund advisors, broker ship houses, investment banks, insurance firms, family offices, Hedge Funds, ETFs and private banks) and High Net Worth private investors alike. As part of the trading teams compliance department the Global Instruments Compliance Officer provides a full compliance / regulatory advisory service to the Trading Operations staff and internal traders, and their clients as and when necessary.
The Global Instruments Compliance Officer reports directly to the Vice President of Compliance. The Global Instruments Compliance Officer takes overall responsibility for the compliance advice given on all Fixed Income structured products trades (60% commercial paper, bonds, short-/medium-term notes and 40% Commodity asset backed securities) and new client membership on boarding and account set ups.
In this well paid Luxembourg compliance job the successful applicant will have to will work closely with the fixed income team and structured products trading teams and ensure there is full compliance support at all times. You will provide advice on all compliance related matters and ensure the team is always updated on the new regulatory developments within the Fixed Income product sector and market.
You will take ownership of the Fixed Income / Structured products compliance policies and procedures
, ensure all documentation is maintained and lead the relationship with the external regulators. With all new exchange accounts and members you will ensure the on boarding process is carried out correctly and the required information and KYC procedures are adhered to. The Exchange operates a number of transaction monitoring tools and diagnostics and the Global Instruments Compliance Officer provides input on their configuration and development, besides undertaking some periodic testing and reviews â from the point of view of Fixed Income trading and its compliance. As the majority of the trades are of a private placement nature the bank must complete all its own compliance data capture about its clients. Combined with that the actual trades are complex in nature and involve considerable asset identification and verification work.
- To be considered for the Global Instruments Compliance Officer vacancy you will fit the following profile:
- You will have at least five years in Compliance with a fixed income trading environment.
- You will be able to display a strong Fixed Income product knowledge and clear understanding of the trading of structured assets.
- It would be beneficial if you had had some experience in a trade finance role handling complex cross-border trades and security based lending.
- You will be experienced with the trading floor environment
- You will be able to operate independently and as a contributing team member
- You will have first rate communication skills
